Daniel R. Cole, 76, of Warren, PA. died Thursday evening, March 5, 2015 at Warren General Hospital Emergency Room after suffering an apparent heart attack. He was born June 7, 1938 in Warren, PA. He was the son of Ray Cole and Lula B. Irwin Timmins. Dan was a lifelong Warren area resident. He was employed with Warren Components, Segal and Son where he delivered steel, Warren Area High School Career Center where he was a Teacher’s Aide, and retired from Osram Sylvania in 1996 after 34 years employment. He was a member of the North Star Masonic Lodge #241, Warren Moose Lodge 109, American Legion Post 135 and Warren Eagles Club. Dan was a NASCAR enthusiast and loved being a Dale Earnhardt racefan, enjoyed going to the casino, playing Bingo with his friends, writing letters to the Warren Times Observer Readers Speak column. He was especially proud of his family whom he dearly loved.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara “Lynn” Graves Cole whom he married in Warren, PA. on July 15, 1967, 2 Sons – Daniel R. Cole of Warren, PA., David R. Cole and wife, Kathy of Minot, N.D., 1 Brother – Neal W. Cole and wife, Marlene of Kane, PA., 4 Grandsons, 1 Granddaughter, 3 Great Granddaughters, 2 Great Grandsons, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother – William Timmins, his stepfather – William Timmins, his stepmother – Burnice Cole. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. with Rev. Marcus Briggs, Chaplain of the Warren General Hospital, officiating. Entombment will be in the columbarium at Warren County Memorial Park.
