Dan is survived by his mother, Marilyn Bailey, step-mother, Judith A.Zaffino, sisters, Judy (Chris) Diggelmann, Joann Zaffino, Laura Henry and brother John. Dan was lucky to have so many close friends and extended family. Carman Fadale, Dan Freeborough, Ted Carrington, Uncle Frank Zaffino, and cousin Scott Zaffino are only a few. He had the best neighbors on Weiler Rd. and he always enjoyed when they stopped to help or visit. A special thanks to Karen and Ralph Lee for all that they did for and with Dan. Dan also spoke every day to his close friend in Arkansas, Jerry LaRue. Jerry was a constant contact in Dan’s daily life. Dan is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece, Jessie and nephews, Mike, Paul and Alex. He was preceded in death by his father, Ned J. Zaffino, grandparents Edison & Clara Bailey and Bruno & Carmela Zaffino and several aunts and uncles. Dan was a man of many talents. He operated heavy equipment, worked in the oil industry and was a truck driver for many years. Dan was an accomplished wood worker, and painter as well as welder and mechanic. While living in Arkansas, Dan took up working with leather, was training as a rescue diver and loved to go boating with his dog, Buddy. There wasn’t much that he couldn’t do when he put his mind to it. He loved his friends and was a good friend to many. Dan just liked people. He was a generous person and always happy to have visitors.

There will be no visitation or service. A memorial will be scheduled at a later date. The family would like to thank Dan’s caregiver, Loreana Greer, for looking after Dan as well as the EMT’s for always being there for assistance. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Donald E.
