Carol Ann Turner, 75, of Warren, PA, passed away at her home on Thursday morning, May 5, 2016 following an extended illness.

Born on March 11, 1941 in Allegheny, PA, Carol was the daughter of the late Andrew T. and Olive Marie Burkett Bednar. She was a longtime resident of Warren and had worked with the Blair Corp. for 35 years, retiring in 2000. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, loved to play cards at the Senior Center and had gone on many cruises.

Carol is survived by her step-mother – Elizabeth Bednar of Warren, PA, 4 children – James Turner of Tiona, PA, Jon Turner and Terrance Turner, both of Warren, PA, and Alisa Pedersen and her fiancé, Todd Smith, of Clarendon, PA, 7 grandchildren – Jeremy, Christopher, Josh, Ashlee, Jacob, Cody and Carly, 8 great grandchildren – Brysten, Jayce, Landin, Jaydien, Harper, Justin, Korbin and Jessa, 4 half- brothers – Thomas (Pam) Bednar of Clarendon, PA, Donald (Terri) Bednar of New Mexico, Rick Bednar of Russell, PA, and Mark (Karen) Bednar of Warren, PA, 1 half-sister – Rhonda (Jim) Hovey of Clarendon, PA and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jessica Turner.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA, on Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 5 – 8pm. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
