Autumn Marie Doherty, 92, of Warren, PA died Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Warren General Hospital after an extended illness. She was born November 15, 1922 in Warren, PA. She was the daughter of the late William O. and Esther C. Lawson Ettinger. Autumn was a lifelong Warren area resident. She had served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II as a Yeoman Second Class. She was formerly employed with New Process Company in the mailing dept. before World War II and with the former G.T.E. Sylvania and with Dr. Larry Krespan Dentist Office as a secretary retiring January of 1983 after 16 ½ years of service. She was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church, where she served as a greeter and Eucharistic minister. She was also a former member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church. She was a member of the church Altar Rosary Society, former Catholic Daughters of America, Warren Lioness Club, and Warren Senior Center.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Daniel J. Doherty whom she married April 29, 1945 in Portland, Maine,

3 Sons – Daniel J. Doherty, II and his wife, Leona, of Pittsburgh, PA., Michael A. Doherty and his wife, Laurann, of Warren, PA., Thomas J. Doherty and his wife, Karen, of Strongsville, Ohio, 1 Daughter – Cheryl Doherty of Warren, PA., 1 Sister – JoAnn L. Fitch Dorrion, and her husband, Jerry, of Tiona, PA, 9 Grandchildren – Wendy Olson, Christopher Shine, Dan J. Doherty III, Donna Adams, Michelle Doherty, Kyle Doherty, Matt Doherty, Megan Doherty and Mallory Doherty, 6 Great Grandchildren – Colt Olson, Dalton Olson, Jayden Semelka Hayden Shine, Claire Adams and McKenzie Doherty, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Adelaide L. Welsh and E. Joyce York.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA on Monday, February 2, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. where a vigil service will be conducted at 7:45 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, PA on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Richard J. Toohey, Pastor, officiating.
