Regis E. Eggleston, 97

Regis E. Niver Eggleston, 97, a resident of the Rouse Warren County Home and formerly of Youngsville, PA. died Monday evening, January 30, 2012 after an extended illness. She was born March 28, 1914 in Warren, PA. to the late Samuel and Margaret Morlock Niver. She had resided in Youngsville and was a 1932 graduate of Warren High School. Regis was employed as a psychiatric aide at the Warren State Hospital for 3 years. She was a member of St. Luke’s R.C. Church, the church altar rosary society, Youngsville Senior Center. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and especially her roses. She loved doing handiwork.

She is survived by 6 Daughters – Elizabeth Hoffman and husband, Ralph of Warren, PA., Diane Hoh of Austin, TX., Linda Hagberg and husband, John and Margaret Brunecz and husband, David all of Sugar Grove, PA., Mary Passinger and husband, Robert of Youngsville, PA., Sarah Eggleston of Atlanta, GA., 3 Sons – John E. Eggleston and wife, Karen, James M. Eggleston and wife, Vicky all of Warren, PA., Thomas J. Eggleston and wife, Charlene of Titusville, PA., 1 Sister – Carol Hampson and husband, Jack of Zanesville, OH, 23 Grandchildren and 30 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Granddaughter, several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Eggleston who died March 12, 1983 whom she married November 18, 1933 in Warren, PA., Infant son in 1936, 1 Brother – Samuel J. Niver, 1 Sister – Gretchen Niver. The family will receive friends at St. Lukes R.C. Church Friday from 9 to 10:00 A.M. in the gathering space. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Friday at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Fr. John Neff, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Youngsville Cemetery, Youngsville, PA.

Colleen Ann Cunningham, 52

Colleen Ann Cunningham, of Shreveport, LA. died Friday, January 27, 2012 at her home after a brief illness. She was a native of Corning, N.Y. and resided the past 32 years in Shreveport, LA.

She is survived by her mother, Jacquelyn “Jackie” Smith Cunningham of Warren, PA., 2 Brothers – Brian Cunningham and wife, Joyce of Horseheads, N.Y., Dennis Cunningham and wife, Gloria of Thomaston, Maine, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. On Monday, January 30, 2012 she was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Cunningham, 1 Brother – Robert Michael Cunningham, 2 Nephews – Brandon and Sean Cunningham, and special friend, Jerry.

Friends are invited to attend a joint memorial service for Colleen and her father, Robert on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA with Fr. Michael Polinek, Parochial Vicar of St. Joseph R.C. Church, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery. Robert E. Cunningham, 84

Robert E. Cunningham, 84, of Warren PA died suddenly Monday morning, January 30, 2012 at his residence. He was born December 12, 1927 in Warren to the late George W and Florence M. Severin Cunningham, Sr. A 1946 graduate of Warren High School, Bob was a Warren resident most of his life. He had served in the U.S. Air Force piloting transport aircraft as a Major during the Korean War and was a reserve for the Air Force for 14 ½ years. He earned a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Detroit and was an engineer with Dresser Corp. of Bradford and Olean NY for 14 ½ years. Bob had also resided in Corning and Rochester NY. He was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Warren Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Eagles, Moose, Sugar Grove AMVETs, Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. He was a NASCAR enthusiast, collected model cars and supported the Buffalo Bills.

He is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn “Jackie” Smith Cunningham, whom he married October 21, 1950 in Warren; 2 sons – Dennis Cunningham and his wife, Gloria of Thomaston, ME, and Brian Cunningham and his wife Joyce of Horsehead, NY; a brother – George W. Cunningham, Jr or Warren; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son – Robert Michael Cunningham; one daughter – Colleen Ann Cunningham, who died Friday, January 27, 2012; two grandsons – Brandon and Sean Cunningham; and a sister – Mary Patricia Rimer.

A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, February 5, 2012 in the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. 304 East St, Warren Pa. 16365 with Fr. Marilyn Kays Ciprich, 77

Marilyn Kays Ciprich, 77, of Warren, PA. died Friday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. January 27, 2012 at the Warren Manor Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was born October 15, 1934 in Warren, PA. to the late Harold J. and Mary E. Grace Kays. She was a resident of Warren her entire life and was a 1954 graduate of Warren High School. She was employed with the former El-Tronics Corporation for 16 years and former Service Hardware for 7 years and retired from Blair Corporation after 30 years service. Marilyn was a former member of the Warren American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her daughter – Shelly Perschke and her husband, Bill of Scandia, PA., both of Warren, PA., 1 Granddaughter – Carrie Burgess and 1 Great Granddaughter – Alexis Christensen, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter P. Ciprich whom she married June 21, 1958 in Warren, PA. who died August 28, 2010, 1 Sister who died in infancy, Dolores Kays, 3 Brothers – Richard “Dick” Kays, Gary and Charles “Bud” Kays 1 Niece – Sylvia Kays. A private funeral and committal service will be conducted at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. with Rev. Marcus Briggs, Chaplain of the Warren General Hospital, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery. Eric G. Nelson, 49

Eric G. Nelson, 49, of Warren PA died peacefully in his sleep Thursday morning, January 26, 2012 following a two year illness. Born November 9, 1962 in Warren to Sharon Berger and the late Norman W. Nelson, he had been an assistant chef at the Conewango Country Club. Eric was an outdoor enthusiast – enjoying canoeing and hiking Rimrock. He was an avid Oakland Raiders fan.

He is survived by longtime friend and wife– Lori Nelson of Warren; a daughter – Ashlee E. Nelson, of Arlington, VA; a son – Justin M. Nelson, of Warren; two brothers – John and Brent Nelson, both of Warren; and three sisters – Lonnie Briggs and her husband Robert, of Warren, Linda Nelson, of Florida, and Jennifer Nelson, of North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by a step-mother – Lynn Nelson. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 30, 2012 at Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. 304 East St. Warren 16365 with Rev. Marcia A Cosmano, 82

Marcia A. Cosmano, 82, of Russell, PA. died at her residence Monday morning, January 16, 2012 surrounded by her family after an extended illness. She was born July 25, 1929 in Erie, PA. to the late W. Howard and Ruth V. Torngren Austin. She has resided in the Russell and Warren, PA. area since 1956. Marcia was a 1947 graduate of Strong Vincent High School, Erie, PA. She was formerly employed with the former Warren National Bank.

She was a member of the Warren Senior Center, she enjoyed traveling, reading and had been a avid sewer. She is fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Stephen S. Cosmano whom she married August 3, 1957 in Warren, PA., 2 Daughters – Catherine Phillips and husband, William Henry, Stephanie Tannler and husband, James 1 Sister – Jessie Austin all of Warren, PA., 4 Grandchildren, Stephen Phillips, Emily Tannler and Fiance – Nicholas Bailey, Susan Campman and husband, Joseph, Sara Tannler, several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Sister – Audine Schwab. Friends may call at the Donald E. Albert “Bob” Denardi, 83

Albert “Bob” Denardi, 83, of Warren Pa, died Friday morning, January 6, 2012 in his residence. Bob was born in Warren on January 19, 1928 to the late John and Lucy Vasame Denardi. He retired from Deluxe Metal in 1990 after 42 years of service and was a member of American Legion Post 135. He served in the U.S. Navy in 1944 and the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He has a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church. Bob was a passionate golfer and Notre Dame fan.

Bob is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janet Wells Denardi, whom he married June 25, 1960 in St. Joseph R.C. Church; three daughters and a son in law – Jean Denardi of Warren, Mary Pickens of Erie, Pa, and Carol and Allen Rosborough of Irvine, Pa; three grandchildren – Amber Pickens and Seth Pickens, both of Erie and Connor Rosborough of Irvine; a great granddaughter – Olivia Easter of Erie; a sister – Mary Walker of Clarendon, Pa; a brother – Frank Denardi of Warren; a Godchild – Diane Finley of Clarendon; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister – Jennie Denardi; three brothers – Charles, Nick, and Sam Denardi.

Rachel White McElhattan, 78

Rachel White McElhattan, 78, of Warren, Pa died Tuesday morning, January 03, 2012 in her residence following a three year illness. Born February 22, 1933 in Starbrick, Pa to the late Benjamin C. and Evelyn Mae Edgett White, she was a 1951 graduate of Warren High School. She resided in Warren her entire life. Rachel had been employed with First Affiliated Securities as a secretary. She was a regular pioneer with Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses since 1983.

Rachel is survived by her three sons – John B. McElhattan and his wife, Helen of Hacienda Heights, Ca, James R. McElhattan of Long Island, NY and Charles L McElhattan and his wife, Jamie of Prescott, Az; Two daughters – Judy Ann Anderson and her husband, Danny of Unicoi, Tn. and Carolyn Stroup and her husband, Vaughn of Rockwood, Tn; A brother – Tom White and his wife, Nancy of Starbrick; 12 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. McElhattan in 1982, whom she married June 14, 1952 in Warren; One son – Richard P. McElhattan, in 1996; one grand daughter – Karissa McElhattan; one brother – Bill White; and a sister – Gretchen McDaniel.
